Attleboro has potentially found a permanent home. After playing the past few years in the Eastern Athletic Conference
and the Old Colony League, Attleboro embarks on its first year in the Hockomock League. To compete in the strong league,
the Bombardiers will rely on their defensive backs and quarterback. Nathan Robitaille will play at both spots and
will be counted on to lead the team. According to coach Kevin Deschenes, the key to success this season will be how
fast Attleboro can develop depth at the running back and linebacker positions.

a bit last season. Both will run behind 245-pound Matt Nichols. Another strength will be the defensive line.

Bill Roberts, RB/LB, Senior, 6-1, 200
Nick Sestito, QB, Junior, 6-0, 185
Connor Whelan, OL/DL, Senior, 6-3, 260
Foxboro is flying under the radar, and that's the way coach Jack Martinelli likes it. The Warriors have three
offensive linemen over 250 pounds in Max Guy, Connor Whelan and Matt DiMartino. Martinelli hopes to use that
size to push opposing defenses around and run the ball effectively. Those three will be blocking for Bill
Roberts, who takes over for Mike Delaney and Luke Soccorso. Roberts is a load to take down at 200 pounds.
Nick Sestito will be at quarterback and Steve Fitzmaurice will provide versatility as he can line up anywhere.

Franklin
Last year's record: 11-1
Strength: Offensive and defensive line
Concerns: Inexperience and depth
Coach: Brad Sidwell (13th season, 87-64-3)
Playing surface: Artificial turf
Returning: 8 lettermen
Kevin Brunelli, OL/LB, Senior, 6-0, 200
Luke Cowper, OL/LB, Senior, 6-2, 192
Rhett Davis, WR/DB, Junior, 6-0, 165

Mike McNeice, OL/DL, Senior, 6-3, 210
Will Richards, QB, Senior
Stephen Santangelo, WR/DB, Senior
Dan Simon, OL/DL, Senior, 6-3, 230
Franklin took the Hockomock League by storm last year behind the play of Nick Colson, Matt Carini,
and 27 other seniors. This year, inexperience is a big concern as only eight lettermen return.
Will Richards will replace Colson under center while Jake Simonelli will replace Carini.
The Panthers will rely heavily on their lines. Luke Cowper, Kevin Brunelli, and Mike Gill will
anchor the offensive line and pave the way for Simonelli. Mike McNeice will provide pressure on
defense from his defensive end position.

King Philip
Last year's record: 8-3

Coach: Brian Lee (5th season, 25-29)
Playing surface: Artificial turf
Returning: 12 lettermen
Adam Boari, OL/DL, Senior, 6-2, 245
Chris Cacciola, RB/LB, Senior, 6-2, 200

Westin Hewins, DB/WR, Senior, 5-9, 180
Jimmy Johnston, LB/FB, Senior, 5-11, 215
Matt Jones, OL, Senior, 6-2, 250
Alec May, DE/TE, Senior, 6-3, 225
Nick Muscatiello, WR/K, Senior, 6-11, 180
David Raymond, DB, Senior, 5-10, 170
Charles Ruffin, RB, Junior, 5-10, 190
Abdul Sesay, DL, Senior, 5-10, 195
For the past two years, King Philip has been knocking at the door of the Hockomock League title.
There is a possibility that this is the season they finally break through. Although the Warriors play
in one of the toughest leagues in EMass, they bring back a bounty of skill. Chris Cacciola and Charles
Ruffin provide a two-headed monster in the backfield. Ruffin is a burner while Cacciola has the added
ability of being a great pass catcher out of the backfield. Defensively, the Warriors are led by middle
linebacker Jimmy Johnston and defensive end Alec May. Johnston is the leader of the defense, while May is
a speed rusher with the ability to pressure the quarterback. Jake Cox replaces former All-Scholastic
Brandon Howard at quarterback. Cox is a versatile player and coach Brian Lee said he has "really taken
to his leadership role."

North Attleborough

Paul Norris, DL, Junior, 6-2, 200
Bob Richman, DT/OL, Senior, 6-0, 250
Brady Shorey, RB, Senior, 5-7, 165
Every year, the knock on North Attleboro is that it doesn't have the size to compete with the bigger
schools in the Hockomock League. And every year, the Red Rocketeers prove the doubters wrong. This year,
the Red Rocketeers still don't have that size, but have a roster with athletic and smart players.
The one player who does have size, Bob Richman (6-0, 250 pounds), will anchor and be a force on both lines.
Brady Shorey will step in as running back. Coach Don Johnson called Storey a "jitterbug" with the ability to
make people miss. Because of his team's lack of size, Johnson plans to blitz a lot on defense and use speed to
match up man to man.

Coach Jim Artz hopes to play well out of the gate to instill some early confidence in the team.
Four starters return on the offensive line and Artz will use them to try to control the tempo of the game.
"We want to play keep-away and control the ball," said Artz. Mitchell Johnson returns at quarterback.
"Mitchell is a three-year starter," said Artz. "He is physical and a good runner and passer." Defensively,
the Tigers are looking to attack their prey and be very aggressive.

For the first time, Sharon returns lots of players with game experience. Sharon will run the double wing and
employ lots of motions and misdirections. The main beneficiary of the offense will be Jordon Aronson.
According to coach Brian Chamberlain, Aronson is one of the top five players in the Hockomock.
"He is a leader and you could put him at any position and he would thrive," said Brian Chamberlain.
"Teams have to game-plan for him. He can hit the home run and burn you out."

Stoughton
Last year's record: 3-8
Strength: Senior class
Concerns: Inexperience
Coach: Greg Burke (17th season, 102-75-4
Playing surface: Grass
Returning: 11 lettermen
Brandon Alves, OL/DL, Junior
James Brauneis, OL, Senior
Colby Calisi, RB/LB, Senior
Travis Demko, RB/LB, Senior

Steve Leoffler, OL, Senior
Kevin Linehan, DB/WR, Senior
Felipe Njeim, LB, Senior
Sean O'Malley, QB/LB, Senior
Justin Rodriguez, DL/TE, Senior
Last season, Stoughton lost a lot of close games. This season, coach Greg Burke hopes to be on the right side of
those close ones. Burke's offensive philosophy is to get back to the bread and butter of Massachusetts football:
running. "We want to hold the ball and use the experience on our line," he said. "Running is what wins in
Massachusetts high school football." The Black Knights have a potential blue-chipper on the offensive line in
Francis Ike. At 6-6, 275 pounds, Ike has the prototypical size wanted in an offensive lineman. Burke said that
Ike has worked to improve his footwork and speed.
